Winning the Silent War

By Chris Kitze - 11. March 2021

The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and those aligned with it have been waging a Silent War on the USA and the world for decades.

This is a war for your mind and soul and it’s being fought asymmetrically.

Unconventional means like bio-warfare, election rigging, bribery, blackmail and murder, as well as the weaponization of medicine, banking, education and media are being used against civil society in ways undreamed of in the past.

The evil cabal’s hidden hand is being revealed as they force the world into their New World Order.

The brazen theft of the US election showed the world, this cabal just doesn’t care how people actually vote or what the public wants -- they only want their way and they will lie, cheat and steal to get their way.  Many patriots worldwide are wondering what they need to do next.

Direct and kinetic confrontation with this evil is not recommended. All electronic communications are fully transparent, including everything advertised as “secure and private”. You are being watched 24/7.

Security agencies, law enforcement and the courts have always been in their hands. “They have it all” -- Q said that, but you thought it was the bad guys, Q meant YOU. Don’t even think about any kind of organized, pre-planned anything. Only spontaneous and non-violent acts can be effective on a large scale.

Those who think their personal armory will bring salvation are dreaming. That will make you dead in a hurry. This is a war being fought against the CCP virus. Can guns ever defeat a virus?

If the traditional solutions of voting and armed rebellion won’t work, how can you win a Silent War?

This is a different kind of war and it will require a “revolution in your thinking”. The real battlespace is in people’s minds and ideas. It’s a war between good and evil.  Psychological “mind game” warfare is what’s being practiced and people are choosing sides. You win by exposing the evil and convincing people to stop supporting the evil. You are literally saving souls.

One group has shown the way, against overwhelming odds and superior firepower in China. Falun Gong practitioners, who have faced 20 years of terrible persecution that includes arrest, torture, forced labor and even live organ harvesting have persevered to this day.

Falun Gong peaceful protest in Beijing, after the start of the persecution in 1999.

Falun Gong practitioners follow Truth, Compassion and Tolerance.

They have no access to media, are arrested for exercising their rights under China’s constitution (which is ignored), they are fired from their jobs, lose bank accounts, have poor social credit scores, and their misled friends and family shun them. Does this sound familiar?  It should because those aligned with the CCP, who persecutes Falun Gong in China, are now helping paid off politicians, media and others persecute good people in the USA and other countries. If you are a good person, you are about to be persecuted like the Falun Gong!

Falun Gong has chosen a righteous path, they never resort to violence or politics.  Here is how they have convinced over 300m Chinese people to quit the CCP - it’s called Tuidang. (from faluninfo.net)

“Tuidang, an emerging non-violent movement in China that encourages Chinese citizens to renounce their ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Short for Tuichu Gongchandang, Tuidang translates literally as “withdraw from the Communist Party.” Participation in the movement means that a person has made a public declaration that he or she wishes to disavow any previous ties with the CCP or its affiliated organizations, such as the Communist Youth League or Young Pioneers. These statements are typically signed using aliases to protect the identity of participants, and are often accompanied by explanations from the individual about why he or she no longer wishes to identify with the CCP. A majority of Chinese citizens belong to or previously belonged to at least one of these organizations. The term “quit the party” therefore refers to a symbolic denunciation of the CCP or any of these affiliated entities.

Is Tuidang’s aim to overthrow the Communist Party?

While the Nine Commentaries denounce the Communist Party, they do not prescribe an alternative political system. Thus, while the Tuidang movement implicitly supports regime change in China, it does not advocate an overthrow of the CCP or a coup, nor does it prescribe specific institutional reforms. Rather, the focus is on a rejection of the culture of violence and duplicity propagated by the CCP and on a revival of virtue to bring about a more just and humane future China. The Tuidang movement is, in many ways, less about political revolution or institutional change and more about a spiritual and ethical revival.”

How did the Falun Gong achieve these accomplishments?

They did it with tens of millions of practitioners who risk their lives to go out and talk to people face to face, heart to heart. Good people from all countries will need to find their courage to be a hero for the future and make a difficult choice -- they need to stand up, NOW.

If there are 10m people willing to step forward and each person talks to 20 people, 200m people can hear this message in a very short period of time. Be sure to let everyone know what is behind the wicked CCP - a vicious cabal of evil satanists who are literally hellbent on mass destruction.

Everyone can:

-hand out flyers on the street

-create memes and post comments online

-make phone calls to people you don’t know

-get people to quit both political parties, the Uniparty is controlled by those aligned with the CCP

-tell people the truth about how the CCP has bribed many officials in the USA [Ed.: ... and everywhere!!!]

-expose the hoax virus and warn people about the dangers of the “vaccine”.  It came from China!

-hang posters and paint tasteful messages in public places where they will be seen

-ask people to contact their elected officials to fix corrupt elections and bring the real lawbreakers to justice

Everyone learned from the last rigged election that you can’t count on corrupt politicians or crooked laws and courts to ensure justice.  This will be a Do It Yourself operation talking to people from heart to heart.

Reject the CCP’s violence and revive virtue; restore the constitutional law.

That is the way to a bright future!

Mass Rape, Sexual Abuse: Communist China’s Genocidal Tool to Eliminate Faith

Regardless of their ages, the CCP is persecuting spiritual believers of all faiths under the disguise of 're-educating' them.

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) came to power in 1949, it has been employing unethical ways to persecute citizens and suppress spiritual groups. Recently, several reports have confirmed how the CCP is using sexual abuse as a tool for re-educating and transforming prisoners of faith, regardless of their age.

Rooted in atheism and materialism, the communist regime has been brutally suppressing Uyghur Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, and Falun Gong practitioners for years. Those who refuse to comply with the CCP’s orders are detained and taken to secretive “re-education camps” where they are subjected to unimaginable abuses, including gang rape and electrocution.

[R]ape has become a culture. It is gang rape and the Chinese police not only rape them but also electrocute them. They are subject to horrific torture.

Sexual Abuse of Uyghurs

To condemn the CCP’s grave human rights violations, the Trump-era administration said on Jan. 19, 2021, that the communist regime has committed “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” in its repression of the Uyghurs Muslims.

The then-U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement that the CCP has incarcerated over a million Uyghurs, subjecting them to forced labor, forced sterilizations, and torture.

“After careful examination of the available facts, I have determined that the PRC [People’s Republic of China], under the direction and control of the CCP, has committed genocide against the predominantly Muslim Uyghurs and other ethnic and religious minority groups in Xinjiang,” Pompeo said. He added, “I believe this genocide is ongoing, and that we are witnessing the systematic attempt to destroy Uyghurs by the Chinese party-state.”

Two weeks later, the BBC published a detailed report on the systematic sexual torture happening in Xinjiang’s tightly-guarded re-education network. The report that is based on first-hand interviews of several Uyghurs who were previously detained in the internment camps revealed the torture and gang-rape horrors they witnessed or lived through.

Tursunay Ziawudun, 42, who fled to the United States after escaping from Xinjiang following her release, recounted to the BBC the sexual abuses she underwent and witnessed while detained for nine months in China’s secretive camps in Xinjiang.

Ziawudun, who is married to a Kazakh and had returned to Xinjiang for work in 2016 after staying in Kazakhstan for five years, detailed how she was shocked with an electric baton and “gang-raped on three occasions,” the BBC reported.

“The woman took me to the room next to where the other girl had been taken in,” Ziawudun told the BBC. “They had an electric stick, I didn’t know what it was, and it was pushed inside my genital tract, torturing me with an electric shock.”

“They don’t only rape but also bite all over your body, you don’t know if they are human or animal,” she said. “They didn’t spare any part of the body, they bit everywhere leaving horrible marks. It was disgusting to look at … And it is not just one person who torments you, not just one predator. Each time they were two or three men.”

Talking to Fox News, Ziawudun said: “Any woman under 40 was raped. Every one in the camp experienced this … I was also beaten—I was kicked and stamped on—once so much on my private parts that I was bleeding, and I since had to have my ovaries removed.”

The BBC report said that even the elderly women detainees were not spared. Ziawudun recalled seeing an elderly Uyghur woman being humiliated.

“They stripped everything off the elderly lady, leaving her with just her underwear. She was so embarrassed that she tried to cover herself with her arms,” Ziawudun told BBC. “I cried so much watching the way they treated her. Her tears fell like rain.”

Ziawuden’s claims were backed by Qelbinur Sedik, an Uzbek woman from Xinjiang who was coerced to teach the Chinese language to the internment-camp detainees. Sedik told the BBC that a camp policewoman confirmed, after Sedik once secretly asked her, that sexual abuse is indeed happening in the camps.

“Yes, the rape has become a culture. It is gang rape and the Chinese police not only rape them but also electrocute them. They are subject to horrific torture,” Sedik recalled the policewoman’s words.

Gulzira Auelkhan, another Kazakh woman from Xinjiang who was forced to help the camp guards by stripping women, also confirmed to the BBC that gang rape is common in the camps.

“They forced me to take off those women’s clothes and to restrain their hands and leave the room,” Auelkhan said. “You can’t tell anyone what happened … It is designed to destroy everyone’s spirit.”

In the recent past, several previously detained Uyghurs had also described similar harrowing tales of torture and rape from the Xinjiang camps.

Gulbakhar Jalilova, a Uyghur and Kazakhstan national who was detained in 2017 for 15 months in an all-female camp, told The Epoch Times that rape happened on a daily basis in the camps. “Young girls are taken out and raped all night long. If you keep resisting, they will inject you with something and kill you,” Jalilova said.

In 2019, Sayragul Sauytbay of Kazakh descent, who was forced to teach the Chinese language in the camp, told Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper, that she once witnessed a female detainee being raped by policemen, “one after the other,” in front of 200 inmates. The incident left Sauytbay traumatized.

“While they were raping her they checked to see how we were reacting,” Sauytbay told Haaretz. “People who turned their head or closed their eyes, and those who looked angry or shocked, were taken away and we never saw them again. It was awful.

“I will never forget the feeling of helplessness, of not being able to help her. After that happened, it was hard for me to sleep at night.”

Sexual Abuse of Other Spiritual Believers

Apart from targeting Uyghur Muslims, the CCP also employs such horrendous torture methods on Falun Gong practitioners, Buddhists, and Christians.

Female adherents of Falun Gong are routinely subjected to sexual abuse and rape for not renouncing their faith. Falun Gong (or Falun Dafa) is a spiritual meditation discipline based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, tolerance; it is freely practiced by over 100 million people worldwide but is being violently persecuted in China, and has been since July 1999.

Detailing the torture and routine sexual abuse faced by Falun Gong practitioners, a two-part report has been compiled by Minghui.org, a U.S.-based website dedicated to documenting the persecution of Falun Gong.

At the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, 18 female practitioners were thrown into the men’s cells and the guards encouraged the inmates to rape the spiritual adherents, Minghui.org reported. The elderly or young, no one was exempted from these abuses.

In 2001, Zou Jin, 70, of Changsha City, Hunan Province, was gang-raped at the Changsha City First Detention Center and sentenced to nine years before she passed away. A 9-year-old girl, who was the orphan child of a Falun Gong practitioner, was gang-raped at the Changping Mental Hospital in Beijing in 2002. “Her screams and cries were heart-wrenching,” the Minghui.org report said.

The report said the authorities also forced pregnant practitioners to abort their unborn babies, beating and shocking them with electric batons which eventually lead to miscarriage.

The CCP hasn’t shown any leniency in abusing Buddhist nuns or Christians either.

The Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy has reported on the personal account of an anonymous Tibetan monk who was detained for four months in a re-education center, in Sog County, Tibet Autonomous Region, in 2017. The monk recounted seeing nuns being sexually abused after participating in military drills.

“Many nuns would lose consciousness during the [military] drills,” the monk wrote. “Sometimes officers would take unconscious nuns inside where I saw them … grope all over their body.”

“Who knows what else they did to the nuns?” the monk wrote.

Citing the sexual abuse account of a Chinese Christian, the editor-in-chief of the Bitter Winter magazine, Massimo Introvigne, wrote that Jiang Guizhi, a member of The Church of Almighty God in China, was raped by policemen and later died after the severe torture.

In 2019, the Association for the Defense of Human Rights and Religious Freedom (ADHRRF) reported a more detailed account of the torture experienced by Jiang. After being repeatedly asked by a cellmate, Jiang revealed that “the police had taken her to a private room in a hotel where she was interrogated, raped, and had objects stuffed inside her vagina,” the ADHRRF reported.

Falun Gong Resists China's Satanist Government

Hard to believe that old people

represent the biggest threat to

the Communist Party in China. This is

a reminder that ultimately, politics

reflect a religious conflict between good and evil.

By Chris Kitze (henrymakow.com) - July 21, 2019

July 20 is the Twentieth Anniversary of the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong in China

Falun Gong is an ancient spiritual practice from China that was made public on May 13, 1992. Through word of mouth, 100 million people in China took up the practice, including people in all walks of life from dirt poor farmers to the highest standing committee members.  At the time, there were only 70 million members of the communist party, fewer than Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong is also called Falun Dafa.  In Chinese Fa means "law" and lun means "wheel", a Falun is a Law Wheel.  Da means "great" and Fa means "law", so Dafa means Great Law.

Falun Gong practitioner is about to get arrested for holding banner that says "Truth Compassion Tolerance" in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

Persecution of good people has happened often throughout history, with Christians, Buddhists and others.  The persecution of Falun Gong is the latest battle between good and evil.  Communism pushes humans away from God, destroying their chance for salvation and turning them to destruction.

Communism was created by the Illuminati and spread from Russia to China in 1947.  At least 60 million people have been killed by the Chinese communist party in a variety of purges aimed at enforcing the monopoly of everything under the power of the party.

The goal of communism, according to Marx was to abolish truth: "There are, besides, eternal truths, such as Freedom, Justice, etc., that are common to all states of society. But Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience."  (Communist Manifesto, Chapter 2)

Communism also destroyed the original and very good semi-divine Chinese culture through the destruction of the upper class "mainstream" of society and cultural treasures using tools such as the Cultural Revolution to replace normal human culture with the "party culture".

Practitioners peacefully stand on the sidewalk outside Zhongnanhai.  April 25, 1999

Legally, freedom to practice religion is in the Chinese constitution, but laws mean nothing in a country living under communism.   On April 25, 1999, the persecution was beginning and 10,000 peaceful Falun Gong practitioners went to the leadership compound at Zhongnanhai in Beijing to petition the top leadership of the country to stop interfering with Falun Gong practitioners.  This was before cell phones and the internet were widespread in China, so to have 10,000 people self-organize made quite an impression on the leadership.    The practitioners stood silently on the sidewalk outside, not blocking traffic or even holding signs.

Several practitioners were chosen to meet with officials, but Jiang Zemin, the premier decided to attack Falun Gong starting a nationwide campaign to demonize Falun Gong on July 20, 1999.  Soon afterwards, an entire government department, the notorious 610 office was created specifically to persecute Falun Gong.

Officially, the death toll to date is tens of thousands, with tens of millions being imprisoned, tortured and put to forced labor.  Industrial scale forced organ harvesting has been documented for Falun Gong, Christians and political opponents of the communists.

Organs are used for transplantation, but they are also suspected to be used in satanic rituals and in food products.  Recent revelations in human and organ trafficking show this is a huge and international business activity.  The actual death toll is likely in the millions.   The organs are extracted while the victims are still alive.

Falun Gong practitioners simulate an organ harvesting operation during a parade to create awareness of the persecution.

Recently, signs point to the imminent end of the Chinese communist party and the persecution.  President Trump is now taking up the banner of religious freedom and including a Falun Gong practitioner in a meeting at the White House.  This has never happened before.

The most important goal of practitioners is to get people to quit the communist party in China, to understand that the communist party is evil and that Falun Dafa is good.

If the persecution of Falun Gong ends, the Communist party will collapse. When the party is gone, things will move to the next phase.   It will be the end of the long nightmare of Communism.  It's also likely the international power elite will collapse western capitalism shortly thereafter and attempt to eliminate 95% of the population.  Like the toppling of the twin towers, communism and capitalism were designed to be destroyed so the New World Order, can be created from the ashes, just like the One World Trade tower was created in New York from the ashes of the twin towers.

Note from Chris- I asked about FG Funding-

I can tell you this from personally doing the meditation for 12 years.  There is no big funding that I am aware of.  Everything is completely voluntary.  There is only one temple at the moment in the world and that was paid for with donations from individuals, mostly from Taiwan and a few from China.  The labor was all donated, practitioners donated their time to build it.  Also, we don't sell things to other practitioners, other than at cost.

Because Falun Gong doesn't own property, don't have staff other than volunteers, you don't need much money.  Things are really done with people's hearts.

The media companies (theepochtimes.com, sound of hope, ntd, etc) are mostly run by volunteers.  Anyone paid, it's been minimal.  Because of the message, we have been blocked from any of the real ad revenue, just like the alt media people.  Before It's News was also targeted by Google and the other evil tech companies and it also suffered.  It survived because people weren't doing things for the money, even the regular, ordinary people writing for BIN and for Epoch Times were there to "spread the truth" in the news.  For this reason, alt media is hardball proof and they the evil will have to resort to ever more draconian techniques to crush it.

This is the power of this practice.  No money is involved and that is why I got involved.  I hate organized religion and especially loath the money, it's really making things evil.  It tempts people.  A high level practice can't have money involved like ordinary human businesses, which is what most of the religions have been turned into.

If people want to hand out flyers on the streets to let people know about the persecution, we chip in to make our own flyer designs, pay the printing costs and we pay our own expenses for gas, parking, etc to attend functions.

There was a meeting in a large hotel in NYC, someone put up the money and then a box was passed around, everyone put in $5....completely voluntarily.  If you didn't have $5 no big deal.  It was all paid in about 15 minutes from just passing the box around.

All those ads you see for Shen Yun are paid for from ticket sales, the dancers and performers are paid a minimal amount.  They do it because they have the heart.  It's a true non-profit.

To me, this is even more remarkable and really shows the way for the future of humanity.  There's probably a story here comparing this kind of practice to the corrupt "Holy See" money laundering operation, which is really pitiful (and evil).

First Comment from Ann

Falun Gong is a threat not only as the author states, but is a threat because it demands that the people stop relying on their pharmaceutical medications (they are told to discard them) and to rely wholly on God the Father (The Law of God) for one's life versus relying on the government with made-up laws and regulations by which THEY enslave the people. No churches, just a personal relationship to GOD.

THEY are The Hierarchy Enslaving You. Show me where it says a man is allowed to rule over others? I CAN SHOW YOU WHERE IT SAYS MAN IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE UP ANY LAW EVER! Man has created that privilege for himself, and the people not knowing any better think that is okay, but it is far from it. It is called SLAVERY anytime one man rules over another with made-up laws by man.

Falun Gong encourages spiritual freedom under God the Father, thus is NOT under man's government. From that Spiritual Freedom to have a personal relationship with God the Father comes His Blessings.

Does anyone know how to get a personal message to Trump?  A message that he can read personally?

Nearly Everything is Mind Control

"You don't know the power of your own mind. It might not be under your control and the thoughts you have may not be your thoughts. You can take control of your own mind once you realize what is being done to you through mind control."

(Makow- The central bankers want to enslave the goyim. This is how they are doing it.)

By Chris Kitze (henrymakow.com) - June 19, 2019

The world is a giant psychological operation (psyop) designed to destroy humanity by controlling your mind, thoughts and ultimately, your actions.

Mind control is pervasive. Its purpose is to turn you away from your true nature and your Creator.

You are pushed away from good and down a path of destruction. Modern society is controlled through Religion, Money and Knowledge using technology and psychology to target and manipulating your mind. Most people are not even aware this is happening.

The evil goal of is your destruction. Salvation can only be achieved by understanding this mind control, changing your way of thinking, improving your morality, and returning to your original, true nature.

In history, Jesus, Shakyamuni (the Buddha) and Lao Zi among others pointed this out and showed "The Way" to elevate your realm of mind and escape this matrix. Organized religions played this role in the past, but now they have been corrupted to the point where they are now part of the mind control system. You are on your own.

The human mind is easily influenced and controlled in very subtle ways.

Suggestion, priming (where you are shown something that affects your later decision on a seemingly unrelated matter), projection, addiction and other techniques are used to alter and direct your thoughts away from Truth.

Monopoly capitalism and communism, virtually the same both under central bank control, use  social media, legal systems, money, food and medicine. The psychology has been extensively studied and weaponized for the final assault on your mind -- it works and works well. In particular these techniques are used to dumb down, confuse and distract you from your salvation. They are literally leading people to Hell.

Social media has become pervasive and there is no escape if you are online. Google and Facebook are expected to control almost 80% of online advertising within five years (https://www.wnd.com/2019/01/google-facebook-duopoly-now-commands-80-of-ad-market/). Their plug ins and trackers are ubiquitous and your actions are recorded even if you don't have any account with them.

They have become an electronic birth certificate. You can never quit and the information goes into a permanent file owned by Facebook, but accessed by various security agencies, governments and other organizations.

Three years after terminating my Facebook account, I received an email that someone had logged into my closed account from Siberian Russia. To terminate this account, Facebook wanted a government issued ID. This could only be required to positively identify the account for future legal purposes.

Social media takes advantage of people's desire to show off and other attachments, as well as using group pressure to create an environment of self censorship. It also is a powerful addiction.

Researchers believe dating applications such as Tinder have resulted in an increase in STD's. Social media and the fake news has destroyed morality by attacking the weaknesses of humans by promoting feminism, sexual liberation and gender dysphoria. This is by design.  Social media is a demon's den.

Technology and communications are also manipulated by monitoring, interrupting and denying service. This has been true for phone calls, email, text messages and so on for many years. People get your voice mail even when you are not on the phone and then that message "gets lost". The caller assumes you don't want to speak with them, even though you didn't know they tried to call. I have personally experienced this effective psyop for many years.

The legal system rules through fear. It has become so complicated, unevenly applied and corrupt that everyone is guilty of something; even judges can't tell you what the law says or means any more and there are many are literally untouchable. Because of this, the law has also been turned into a weapon of fear and intimidation.

I've seen the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) literally destroy a good person who committed a minor infraction through fear and intimidation. It was complete destruction; personal, psychological and financial destruction. Fear, uncertainty of regulation and doubts (FUD) are the way this mind game works because you never know if something is legal, illegal or lawful (which means there is no law against it, so you can do it).

Voting has the false appearance of you making a choice; the choice was already made before the election. Polls before elections are mostly fake, designed to cast doubt and make you believe you are alone in your choice and the fake news media reinforce this belief.

You are choosing between the two approved candidates and the outcome is already determined through illegal voters, ballot stuffing and rigged voting machines -- it's not voting that matters, vote counting determines the outcome. Regulatory capture takes on a new meaning when certain groups get control of the law enforcement systems and levers of political power.

Money has been replaced with a central bank issued form of credit that is manipulated to the point where people can't calmly live or think without the mind game of prices going up or down unnaturally. There is a reason why someone told me a tiny minority in a Latin American country owned 70% of the tall buildings in a major metropolis. Their people controlled the credit system world wide and mainly their people with connections could get credit, even though they were foreigners in most countries.

No wonder the majority of the people feel worse off; they can't get credit because of the rigged credit scoring and banking system. Just wait until this system is integrated up with Facebook and Google in a China style social credit construct. Things will get even more difficult for conservatives and other "outsider" groups, once they can't have bank accounts or use electronic money. A public audit of the central banking system would no doubt result in an immediate revolution were the main beneficiaries of newly issued credit to become widely known.

The greatest medical discovery of the 20th century was the placebo effect, which demonstrated the power of suggestion over the human mind. It's so powerful, new drugs use double blind studies to demonstrate they are better than a phony sugar pill, which is given to a control group. The fake sugar pill often works nearly as well as the real drug, as many drugs are fake, too. Using the mind to cure yourself has never been promoted because monopoly capitalism interests like Big Pharma don't have any way to profit from something that naturally exists inside everyone. Cures are never offered as endless treatments for chronic conditions are more profitable. They want your mind under their control, not thinking for yourself. The mind can be altered with chemical and electronic means. Chemicals in water systems (fluoride), sprayed in the sky (chemtrails) and electrosmog (cell towers, wifi and 5G) complete the picture.

Only by changing your way of thinking and improving your moral character will it be possible to break out of the mind control eliminate those impure thoughts that are not yours and return to your original, true self. The alternative is long slow decay to a very unhappy ending.

You have to break free, your future depends on it!

Why Muslim World Is Silent Over China’s War On Islam?

By Sumera B. Reshi - 27. January 2019

Quite recently, Beijing passed a law to make Islam ‘compatible’ with socialism within the next five years.

The new legislation is meant to implement measures to ‘Sinicize’ Islam, the newest effort to crack down on China’s minority Muslim population. The pivotal aim of this law is to ‘make it more Chinese. China has been seeking to ‘Sinicize’ religions by infusing them with ‘Chinese characteristics’ such as loyalty to the Communist Party under President Xi Jinping‘s 2015 directive. ‘Islam in China should be guided by the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Chinese authorities met eight Islamic groups to formulate the plan. After the discussions and deliberations, Chinese authorities agreed to ‘guide Islam’ to be compatible with socialism. However, the details of ‘Sinicization’ are shrouded in a mystery and no details were furnished to the media till date.
As the Chinese authorities continue a brutal crackdown in Xinjiang, Islam has been one of the main targets. Major mosques in the major cities of Kashgar and Urumqi now stand empty. Prisoners in the camps are told to renounce God and embrace the Chinese Communist Party. Prayers, religious education, and the fasting during Ramadan are increasingly restricted or banned. Even in the rest of China, the Arabic text is being stripped from public buildings, and Islamophobia is being tacitly encouraged by party authorities.

Despite the invisible torture of Uyghurs, Muslim leaders and communities around the world stand silent. While the fate of thePalestinians stirs rage and resistance throughout the Islamic world, and millions stood up to condemn the persecution of the Rohingya, there’s been hardly a sound on behalf of the Uyghur. None of the Muslim leaders have made a public statement in support of the Uyghurs. Politicians and many religious leaders who claim to speak for the faith are silent in the face of China’s political, economic power and longstanding friendship. As stated by Professor Michael Clarke, China Policy Expert, “China’s economic power and the fear of retaliation was a big factor in Muslim politics.” He added, “You are dealing with one of the most powerful states in the World.”

Other Muslim-majority countries, including MalaysiaPakistan, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have avoided criticizing China or raising the atrocities of Uygur in public. Pakistan reaffirming the pledge of being an ‘all weather friends’ has gone a step further by ignoring the media reports on Uyghur and terming the situation as ‘sensationalized’ by the Western media. Chinese investments and contracts in the Middle East and North Africa from 2005 until Dec 2018 amount to $144.8 billion. In addition, Beijing has heavily invested in state-owned oil and gas industries in Saudi Arabia and Iraq and promised to continue investments across Asia, Africa and the Middle East with its Belt and Road initiative.

Analysts say that Beijing’s policy of ‘non-intervention’, whereby it avoids becoming involved in the domestic affairs of other nations, has long been a key part of its foreign policy agenda.

According to Simone van Nieuwenhuizen, a Chinese-Middle East relations expert at the University of Technology, Sydney, ‘Many states in the Middle East are becoming more economically dependent on China. China’s geo-economics strategy has resulted in political influence.” Pakistan sees China as a vital balancer against India, and their relationship, sometimes referred to as the ‘iron brotherhood,’ goes back decades. Therefore, it is plausible to in case of China that the economics determine the relations and not the religion.

In 2018, a United Nations (UN) human rights panel uncovered that China holds a million ethnic Uyghur’s and Muslim minorities in prison in the Xinjiang region. Researchers believe that southern Xinjiang’s Luopu County No 1 has borne the brunt of the government’s crackdown on Muslims because of its density of Uyghurs and distance from major cities. Luopu County houses vocational skills training centers where Muslims are detained and indoctrinated. As per UN, 1.1 million Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Hui and other ethnic minorities had been detained in internment camps.

Luopu is a sparingly populated rural county of about 280,000 and home to eight internment camps officially called as ‘vocational training centers. In Luopu or Lop County, authorities are expanding detention camps, increasing surveillance, policing and co-opting residents through intimidation, force and financial incentives. Since 2018, construction of vocational skills training centers has gone up in order to detain more Uyghurs into these internment camps.

Moreover, domestic security expenses have doubled in 2017 as the security campaign got underway. Chinese authorities are spending lavishly on detention centers in counties with a large concentration of ethnic minorities quadrupling, according to Adrian Zenz, a researcher whose emphasis is on ‘China’s ethnic policies.’

As per Gay McDougall, a member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, ‘Uyghurs and Muslim minorities are being held in a ‘political indoctrination camp’ in Western Xingjian. However, China blames that Xingjian region faces insurgency from Islamist militants and separatists who try to drive a wedge between the ethnic Han Chinese majority and Muslim Uyghurs.

As stated by the Wall Street Journal, the increase in internment camps since last year in mind boggling and which the US Congressional-Executive Commission on China has described as ‘the largest mass incarceration of a minority population in the world today’. China firstly detained Uyghurs Muslims and then prohibited them from growing long beard. Ever since, the news about internment camps and the fate of Muslims in Xingjian autonomous region leaked to the world media, China has been vending its own narrative. They call these internment camps as vocational training centers, schools or reeducation camps. Those who have been infected by an ideological illness are being sent to reeducation camps. People who have been maligned with religious extremism and violent terrorist ideology must seek treatment according to Chinese authorities. China considers the religious extremist ideology a type of poisonous medicine, which confuses the mind of the people. If we do not eradicate religious extremism at its roots, the violent terrorist incidents will grow and spread all over like an incurable malignant tumor.

James Millward, a professor of Chinese history at Georgetown University, said, “Religious belief is seen as a pathology in China.” “And Beijing often claims religion fuels extremism and separatism. So now they are calling reeducation camps ‘hospitals’ meant to cure thinking. It’s like an inoculation, a search-and-destroy medical procdure that they want to apply to the whole Uyghurs population, to kill the germs of extremism. But it is not just giving someone a shot – it is locking them up for months in bad conditions,” professor Millward added.

Since long, China has feared that Uyghurs might attempt to establish their own national homeland in Xinjiang, which they refer to as East Turkmenistan. Tracking down the origin of Uyghurs, they are actually a Turkic ethnicity who have historically and in contemporary times lived largely in Central Asia and in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR). In China, Han makes up around 92 per cent of China’s population and besides Han, there are 55 ethnic minority groups in the country including the Uyghurs, Hui and Tibetans. Chinese officials believe that the Uyghurs have no indigenous claim to the area, and they migrated from Mongolia and other Central Asian territories'

Additionally, the conflict between the Hans and Uyghurs goes back to centuries to dynastic China, but the major fissures occurred after the US was attacked on September 11, 2001. In 2009, ethnic riots resulted in hundreds of deaths.

Moreover, Uyghurs are alleged that they have carried out terrorist attacks in recent years and which need to be suppressed else Uyghur separatism might set a precedent. For this reason, reeducation camps were established to make Uyghur Muslims compatible with Chinese state policy.

“China did have intermittent periods of control over the area, but it was only during the Qing dynasty in the mid-eighteen century that they exerted control for a longer period,” commented Michael Clarke, an Associate Professor at the National Security College, Australian National University. Besides, Jennifer Ang states that “the Uyghurs have no ethnoreligious identity which has become underscored in contemporary times due to China’s constructed narrative regarding the Uyghurs and Xinjiang.”

Nevertheless, China’s claim and a description of the Xinjiang has offended the Uyghurs history, identity and culture and has reinforced the ethnic divide between them and the Hans. Soon after the birth of China as a republic, it went through a communist revolution and the same year witnessed the ‘peaceful liberation’ of Xingjian. Despite Moa rejected Han-chauvinism and promoted a multi-ethnic Chinese nation, the actual ‘Sinicization’ of the Uyghurs took place under communist China. Those who follow the path set by Chinese authorities won’t face the torture, but those who resist will be punished vehemently.

In 1950 when China invaded Tibet, they were treated like they treat Uyghurs now. The state wants ethnic minorities to behave in their way and the reason is that they want to unify all people as ‘Chinese’.

Although China has provided autonomy to five regions with a majority non-Han ethnicity, however, the aim seems to be the ‘Sinicization’ of these regions and ethnicities. Professor Clarke asserts that since 1949, China has wanted to integrate Xinjiang fully with China politically, culturally, and economically subsuming the non-Han ethnic groups of Xinjiang into the ‘unitary, multiethnic state’ of China.

In 1991, after the collapse of the Soviet, China introduced a new ploy to appease the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. The plan was to develop Xinjiang and increase economic growth in the region to ‘buy the Uyghurs’ loyalty. One of the ways to do this was to connect and open up Xinjiang to the newly formed Central Asian republics.

To counter this, China diplomatically engaged the new republics, not only to improve economic growth, but more importantly to reduce separatism in Xinjiang. From 1996-2000, China’s diplomatic efforts paid dividends, through the Shanghai Five and improved bilateral relations, as they neutralized the threat faced from Uyghur advocacy groups in Central Asia.

Although during the 1990s, China undoubtedly developed the Xinjiang region with highways, trains, industries and other infrastructure, this had even more adverse effects on the Uyghurs. China’s compliance towards its development/modernization policy benefited the Han immigrants in Xinjiang as they were more educated, already Sinicized, and knew Chinese. The Uyghurs thus had to compete in their own homeland with Chinese-speaking Hans in an economic environment controlled by the same ethnicity.

“The state’s project requires Uyghurs to “adopt an entirely new set of rules” so that instead of Islam, they must follow the 12 secular values of China,” asserted Darren Byler and Timothy, Grose, academics and experts on China studies. Ang mentions that Uyghurs are trapped between Han-chauvinism and Chinese imperialism. The rules ascertained enable or disable the Uyghurs from progressing in life in Xinjiang. The Uyghurs must Sinicize their religion, speech, dressing, behavior, culture, and language in order to compete with the favored Han migrants and that too, unfortunately, in their own homeland of Xinjiang.

Due to a methodical campaign of oppression in an apparent attempt to extinguish the religion and ethnicity of the Uyghurs. Uyghurs today are not free in the most fundamental sense of the word—not to travel, not to practice their faith, not to speak to their relatives, not to name their children. Not even submission to discriminatory government regulations and coercion keeps their families safe. And the world barely seems to notice.
