There is Hope - Time to Act!

Ms. Greta Thunberg speaks out at COP25 in Madrid

By Greta Thunberg - 11. December 2019

Well, I tell you there is hope - I have seen it.

But it does not come from the governments or corporations - it comes from the people.  The people, who have been unaware, but are now starting to wake up.

And once we become aware, we change. People can change. People are ready for change.

And that is the hope, because we have democracy. And democracy is happening all the time, not just on election day, but every second and every hour.

It is public opinion that runs the free world. In fact, every great change throughout history has come from the people.

We do not have to wait, we can start the change, right now - WE THE PEOPLE!

And a follower responded to the clip:

People are dying, animals are dying, plants are dying, the planet is dying, slowly but without a rest. Droughts, floods, contaminated air, dirty plasticized oceans, contaminated water.

Time is running out ...

Greta Thunberg | COP 25 High Level Event on Climate Emergency

BUT, IS THERE HOPE - really?

Dr Peter Carter: summarising the lack of "climate emergency" at #COP25

Dec 10, 2019

"If you gonna deal with the Evil, how would you do it?"

- First we have to call it an unprecedented crime.

- Then we have to realize that nothing good will come out of these COPs and that

- The voices of the young people will be written off by the negotiating process of the world powers.

- We therefore have to look for scientists, authors and respected people outside, like the 11,000 scientists who published the SCIENTISTS WARNING TO HUMANITY and ae definitely saying that we are in a climate emergency.

- We have to wake up.

Look at the massive eruption of methane - a very potent greenhouse gas (86 times more powerfull than CO2) in the Arctic. The outburst in August and the methane cloud that is since four months observed over Alaska, but except for one journal has not been reported, is alarming. Looking at the 2.2 million ice-core the maximum methane concentration ever was 800 ppm - up in Alaska now it is 2050 ppm and staying there. We have to pay attention to the arctic and the reduction of the permafrost, releasing all three powerful greenhouse gases - methane (CH4) [possibly Methane clathrate (CH 4 ·5.75H 2 O) or (4CH 4 ·23H 2 O), also called methane hydrate], carbondioxide (CO2) and NOx (yes, the very nitrogen oxides that are most relevant for air pollution, namely nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2 ).These gases contribute to the formation of smog and acid rain, as well as affecting tropospheric ozone.)

IMPORTANT TO WATCH and to understand:

Published on 21. July 2019, Dr. Peter Wadhams already warned in Arctic Research & the Methane Risk about the potentially very dangerous methane hydrate situation in shallow Arctic sea waters, in this conversation recorded in March of 2019.

Apparently the situation with methane in the Arctic permafrost, both land based, and in this case sub-sea in the Arctic Ocean, is such an immense potential game-changer that it is provoking willful ignorance among many scientists and policy makers. Dr. Wadhams also notes that a proper risk analysis of methane outbreak at various levels has been missing so far, but should be conducted now as a high priority task.

Since 30 years we tried to wake the world up!

Sue the ******, Solve the Problem

Today we discuss with Dr. James Hansen and his legal advisor Dan Galpern, the approaches to reducing our carbon emissions by legal actions. Worth a watch. One successful lawsuit in the form they are describing could really put a crimp in the fossil fuel industry's plans to kill us all for the sake of profit.
