5G Cell Phone Radiation: How the Telecom Companies Are Losing the Battle to Impose 5G Against the Will of the People

The telecommunications companies and the mainstream media would have you believe that the race to roll out 5G is unstoppable. That you are nothing and no one in the face of a lethal multi-trillion-dollar agenda imposed by some of the most powerful entities on the planet.

By Claire Edwards (*) - GR - October 04, 2019

They thought that if they called their new, alleged “communications technology”, adapted from the military Active Denial Technology, “5G” or fifth generation, the public would just assume that it was more of the same as 4G, 3G or 2G. And if they could characterise the rollout as a race, the public would not have enough time to find out what a killer technology 5G is. How wrong they were! Not only has the public found out, but now they know how lethal previous generations of wireless technology – to be used concurrently with 5G – are as well.

Below is the evidence from a number of different countries that the pushback is huge and growing. The telcos have lost the propaganda war, despite their control of the mainstream media, from which not a whisper of the dangers of 5G is heard, and of social media and Youtube, who have been desperately deleting millions of accounts to silence the naysayers.

As this article went to press, support arrived from an unlikely source. In an impassioned speech before the United Nations General Assembly on 24 September 2019, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that digital authoritarianism is not the stuff of dystopian fantasy but of an emerging reality. He described the Internet of Things, “smart” cities and AI as a giant, dark thundercloud lowering ever more oppressively over the human race, a gathering force reshaping the future of humanity over which the human race has no control and from which, in future, there may be nowhere to hide.

He asked if algorithms could be trusted with our lives and hopes and whether machines should be allowed to doom us to a cold and heartless future in an Orwellian world designed for censorship, repression and control. He recalled the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and endorsed its ideals of upholding freedom of opinion and expression, the privacy of home and correspondence, and the right to seek and impart information and ideas.

He exhorted the academic committees, company boards and industry standards groups who are writing the rulebooks of the future, making ethical judgements, and choosing what will or will not be rendered possible to find the right balance between freedom and control, between innovation and regulation, between private enterprise and government oversight. He insisted that the ethical judgements inherent in the design of new technology must be made transparent to all and that joint efforts must be made to agree a common set of global principles to shape the norms and standards that will guide the development of emerging technology.

What follows is a citizen journalist’s list of the actions taken to halt 5G and reports and complaints that have discredited this Machiavellian attempt to foist a disastrous technology on the world in 2019. It is not an exhaustive list and I extend my apologies to all those whose efforts I may have overlooked here and much gratitude to all who have contributed to making this pushback so successful.

However, we cannot afford to be complacent and, in particular, we must work to stop the use of the Earth orbits and the stratosphere to beam 5G down to Earth, for this puts the ionosphere and the entire planet at risk. We must also work to ensure that the use of street lights with blue light for this anti-life agenda is rapidly reversed.

The effort to stop 5G is still gathering momentum and we must continue to work together and tirelessly to protect all life on Earth and the planet itself until this demented plan is relegated to the history books as the most Mephistophelian scheme in the history of humankind.

“I don’t want 5G anywhere in the city,” Encinitas Residents Erupt

Jim Satney (*) - 03. October 2019

The Encinitas City Council has fallen in line with a controversial Federal Communications Commission ruling that orders cities around the nation to remove any obstacles preventing the fast install of 5G technology. But residents and activists in the city alike are contesting and protesting the move, citing a slew of 5G health concerns as evidence to slow down the installation process until more studies can show the technology as safe.

“I don’t want 5G anywhere in the city,” Encinitas resident Lindsy Richards said, according to a report in the San Diego Tribune.

Richards is hardly alone in her opposition to 5G technology. She also cited the fact that many Silicon Valley residents are fighting 5G technology as well. At least 150 people showed up to an Encinitas city workshop as a show of protest. Around 30 of those people gave a public testimony declaring their strong opposition to the city’s movement towards allowing 5G installation permits. The activist group, Stop5G, was on hand to make sure that people had informational brochures warning against 5G’s health risks and even pens to take notes.

The anti-5G speakers came from all walks of life, including real estate agents, scientists, and school teachers. Many cited their concerns for their children’s health. Last May, Sprint took down a 5G network tower located near Ripon Unified School District in Ripon, California after parents noted an increase in childhood cancer cases.

Naturopathic doctor Deborah Sie used a Powerpoint slideshow to display her concerns for 5G and both human and animal health.

“All living things will be affected,” she said, mentioning bees and birds.

Last September, a California resident filmed what he claimed was bees dying under a 5G network tower.

One real estate agent said that 5G antennas could drive the price of property down.

One thing is clear, people all over the world are deeply concerned with 5G technology’s potential health risks. Finland residents are among many on the international front opposing 5G.

But the problem is that most world governments see 5G technology as a next step in world domination. The faster network stands to improve medical care, military capabilities, and communication ability. So activists and concerned parents alike have a tough battle ahead.

"The truth about mobile phone and wireless radiation" -- Dr Devra Davis

•Dec 2, 2015

"The truth about mobile phone and wireless radiation: what we know, what we need to find out, and what you can do now" Presented by Dr Devra Davis, Visiting Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey.

The Lecture What are the health effects of mobile phones and wireless radiation?

While Australia has led the world in safety standards, including compulsory seat-belt legislation, plain packaging on cigarettes, and product and food disclosure legislation, it falls behind in addressing the significant issues associated with mobile phone use. In this Dean’s Lecture, epidemiologist and electromagnetic radiation expert, Dr Devra Davis, will outline the evolution of the mobile phone and smartphone, and provide a background to the current 19 year old radiation safety standards (SAR), policy developments and international legislation. New global studies on the health consequences of mobile/wireless radiation will be presented, including children’s exposure and risks. The Speaker Dr Devra Davis is an internationally recognised expert on electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones and other wireless transmitting devices. She is currently the Visiting Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey. Dr Davis was Founding Director of the Center for Environmental Oncology at The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute — the first institute of its kind in the world, to examine the environmental factors that contribute to the majority of cases of cancer. In 2007, Dr Devra Davis founded nonprofit Environmental Health Trust to provide basic research and education about environmental health hazards. Dr Davis served as the President Clinton appointee to the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board in the U.S.A. from 1994–1999, an independent executive branch agency that investigates, prevents and mitigates chemical accidents. As the former Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health in the Department of Health and Human Services, she has counseled leading officials in the United States, United Nations, European Environment Agency, Pan American Health Organization, World Health Organization, and World Bank. Dr Davis holds a B.S. in physiological psychology and an M.A. in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, 1967. She has authored more than 200 publications and has been published in Lancet and Journal of the American Medical Association as well as the Scientific American and the New York Times. Dr Devra Davis is an internationally recognised expert on electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones and other wireless transmitting devices.

Town’s war with 5G: Devonshire officials 'ban' installation of new high-speed network after campaigners demand further research into its effects on health

  • 5G is supposed to enable the fastest speeds and most reliable connections
  • However, campaigners in Totnes, Devon, claim it is a serious health hazard
  • They have persuaded officials to stop installing the high-frequency network

By Izzy Ferris For The Daily Mail - 6 October 2019

The push to roll out the latest 5G mobile technology across the country has hit a snag – from angry residents in a quiet corner of Devon.

The next generation of mobile internet connectivity is supposed to transform our lives by enabling the fastest speeds and most reliable connections on smartphones and other devices.

But campaigners in Totnes claim it is a serious health hazard and have persuaded local officials to declare a moratorium on installing the high-frequency network.

Although the decision has no force in planning law, campaign leader John Kitson claims the action by Totnes town council is a warning to ministers that they cannot bring in 5G without further research into its effects on health.

It comes just days after Chancellor Sajid Javid announced a £5billion Government package to support the rollout of broadband, 5G and other high-speed networks aimed at reaching the hardest-to-reach 20 per cent of the country.

Mr Kitson, 38, who left the recruitment industry to become a full-time 5G activist, said: ‘Everyone is talking about how 5G will allow driverless cars, amazing wi-fi speed and the internet of things such as fridges linked to the web.

‘And yet proper research on this technology has never been carried out.

‘Telecom companies, Public Health England, the World Health Organisation – they all say no adverse effects on human health have been established during use of existing 3G and 4G networks.

‘But there have been thousands of peer-reviewed scientific papers which raise concerns.

‘More than 250 scientists have urged the EU to halt the rollout of 5G because it means a huge increase in electromagnetic radio frequencies on top of the existing network.

‘I don’t want to stop the march of technology. I want it made safe.’

He became concerned about the effects of electromagnetic frequencies following the death of his mother from a brain tumour.

'Tumours are increasing and it isn’t down to better diagnosis,’ he said. ‘There is increasing evidence of a link to high-frequency radiation.’

Local business coach Julie Harrison, 55, claims the Government message that 5G is just ‘the next step’ is misleading

The campaigners say residents are taking their message seriously and more than 1,600 have signed a petition for more safety research.

Activist Rosi Gladwell, 70, claims she is sensitive to electro-magnetic waves, so she uses a meter to measure electromagnetic radiation – and even wears an ‘anti-signal hood’ at some sites where she says signals are high, such as airports.

She said: ‘There is huge concern about this technology. No one is being properly informed.

‘We are immensely grateful to town councillors for approving the moratorium. It takes a lot of courage to stand up to government.’ Local business coach Julie Harrison, 55, is giving talks to companies in Totnes and claims the Government message that 5G is just ‘the next step’ is misleading.

She added: ‘There is evidence that 3G and 4G are not fine. But this is completely different technology. The antennae are going to be attached to lampposts. They are going to sit outside children’s bedrooms, for goodness sake. The industry has not done meaningful research. Of course, there are billions of pounds at stake.’

Architect Jonathan Burns, 63, said the telecoms industry was glossing over ‘bio-effects on people’.

Totnes mayor Jacqi Hodgson, a Green Party county councillor, said: ‘Our concern is that there will be a much higher blanket of radiation all around us.’

Despite reassurances from the Government, the campaigners are not convinced. In June, former digital minister Margot James insisted ‘a considerable amount of research has been carried out on radio waves and we anticipate no negative effects on public health’.

But a US Senate science committee was told this year that wireless network operators did not know of any independent scientific studies on the safety of 5G. Senator Richard Blumenthal said: ‘We’re kind of flying blind as far as health and safety is concerned.’

Fears Continue to Grow Over 5G Safety and Outdated RFR Exposure Limits

By Nikki Harper - 23. October 2019

5G continues to creep ever closer, but the concerns overs its safety and health risks are not diminishing. Far from it – from scientists the world over, the objections and red flag raising are increasing.

Despite the growing volume of peer-reviewed evidence that 5G is simply not safe, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced in August that it will continue to work on the basis of radiation exposure limits which date to research from the 1980s [1]. This research was mostly concerned with short-term heating risks.

However, since the FCC adopted these limits in the 1990s, more than 500 studies have been published, showing evidence of harmful effects from radio frequency radiation at levels too low to cause heating [2]. Heating is not the issue here.

More than 250 scientists worldwide, who between them have published more than 2000 papers on EMF, have signed the International EMF Scientist Appeal [3], calling for stronger exposure limits. The appeal argues that numerous scientific studies have shown that EMF adversely affects organisms at these low levels, with risks including cancer, increases in free radicals, learning deficits, neurological disorders, reproductive disorders and cellular damage, in humans as well as other animal and plant life.

In 2011, the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer classified radio frequency radiation (RFR) as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” [4] and this will be reviewed again within the next five years – most likely, their risk assessment will be upgraded.

However, despite this body of evidence, the FDA recently stated that “no changes to the current standards [on RFR] are warranted at this time”. [4]

We do not have a great deal of evidence regarding the health impact of 4G, because the research was simply not widely done. However, we do have evidence that 2G and 3G have proven harmful and there appears to be some evidence that an increase in head and neck tumors can be linked to cell phone radiation [5]. Since 5G will initially run alongside 4G, there could be further risks to health from simultaneous exposure to different types of RFR [4].

With little sign that the powers that be are listening, the ongoing research does not seem to be hitting home and those official exposure limits are budging. This is a concern for Joel M Moskowitz, director of the Center for Family and Community Health in the School of Public Health at the University of California. “As a society, should be invest hundreds of billions of dollars deploying 5G, a cellular technology that requires the installation of 800,000 or more new cell antenna sites in the US, close to where we live, work and play?” asks Moskowitz. “Instead, we should […] demand that our government fund the research needed to adopt biologically based exposure limits that protect our health and safety.”
